Tacoma Boat To Build Four Voith Schneider Equipped Tugs For Foss Launch

Foss Launch & Tug Co., Seattle, Wash., announced recently the signing of a contract agreement with Tacoma Boatbuilding Co., Tacoma, for the construction of four tractor tugs of a new design. The contract provides options for an additional two tugs.

FMC Launches Big Deck Barge For Puget Sound Freight Lines

The Marine and Rail Equipment D i v i s i o n of FMC Corporation, Portland, Ore., launched the barge Cape Flattery at their side launch ways on the Willamette river recently. The 253-foot covered deck barge, built for P u g e t Sound Freight Lines of Seattle, has a 4,400-ton cargo capacity.
